We are looking for an Advertising Specialist to help shape communications strategies, develops creative and content, and manages campaigns in the regions and markets in which Emirates operates. The advertising Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that advertising meets communication and commercial objectives and conforms to brand guidelines. He/she applies creative and strategic-thinking abilities with superior project management skills to deliver campaigns on brief and on time, in multiple languages. The role is highly collaborative in nature, requiring strong skills in communication and consensus building in order to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders internally and our external agency partners. The person in this role is expected to operate proactively and independently. Job Accountabilities linked to Objective Areas: 1. Contribute to the Annual Planning process supporting Ad and Media Managers and MMCs 2. Manage quarterly, tactical campaign development and execution for through-the line campaigns working closely with Media and Cross Channel to optimize performance 3. Responsible for campaign linked email briefing, and developing / sourcing copy / images 4. Monitor Creative and Media Agency performance to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and on brief. Exercise cost control over all advertising services to deliver optimum value. 5. Understand and keep abreast of relevant research, insights, and commercial information to enable strategic and informed campaign planning. 6. Develop Advertising Briefs that are clear, focused, and insightful. Encourage and challenge agencies, providing creative direction and feedback to achieve consistently great work. 7. Demonstrate a high degree of digital awareness, working closely with the Digital and Media teams to deliver effective content and creative messaging across channels. Actively pursue creative opportunities presented by new media / digital channels 8. Work in collaboration with other Corporate Communications Specialists (Digital, PR, Social, Sponsorships, Events) proactively integrating advertising with other activities to develop 360 campaigns and enhance impact where possible. 9. Support development of brand engagement ideas, using local country consumer / media insights. Integrate and execute these brand ideas across communication platforms. 10. Responsible for admin support and reporting as part of overall account management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification · Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), preferable with a degree in Marketing or Advertising. · A post graduate qualification from a professional marketing institution (for example a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing) would be a distinct advantage as would an Honours degree. However, candidates falling short of educational requirements but with suitable work experience will be considered. Experience · 5+ years’ experience, Marketing or Advertising. · Experience at an account management level in an international advertising agency or as a Marketing Communications professional with an international organization. · Experience in the airline/travel industry is preferable. · The jobholder must have experience of developing advertising briefs, formulating and implementing annual budgets and activity plans, producing and implementing 360 degree international advertising campaigns Personal Attributes · The post-holder must be able to articulate clearly and concisely in both the written and spoken form. Excellent (English language) communication skills are a paramount importance. · We are looking for people with the right combination of creative and strategic thinking abilities. Independent operators who can deliver campaigns on brief and on time, in multiple languages and across time zones. · Digitally savvy, and interested in creative opportunities presented by new channels. · Good at collaboration in cross-functional groups, and working with agencies.
